Network Folder is a folder with the name in UNC path format. For example: "\\server\Output\ShareDocs". In many cases folder of this type require Login and Password to be accesed.
Ftp Server Folder
This type is used when the synchronization uses File Transfer Protocol to deliver the files from source folder to destination folder. For example: "ftp://33.46.15.321/MyFiles/Music/mp3".
The information shown below is required:
- URL is a FTP-server folder path. For example: "ftp://33.46.16.121/MyDocs".
- Port is the port your FTP-server uses. Default port is "21".
- Login is your name for the FTP-server access.
- Password is a secret word that is used with Login.
- Passive mode FTP is used to resolve the issue of the server initiating the connection to the client. This option used by the client to tell the server it is in passive mode. In passive FTP mode the client initiates connection to the server, solving the problem of firewalls filtering the incoming data port connection to the client from the server. Note: not all FTP servers support passive mode.
Amazon S3 Folder
Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) provides cheap and unlimited online data storage for anyone with a credit card and an Amazon Web Service (AWS) account (see amazon.com for more details). If you have an AWS account, you can interact with the S3 service using specialized tools to upload and manage your files.
Synchromat supports S3. To use this feature you need:
- Access Key ID. When you create Amazon Web Service (AWS) account, AWS assigns your AWS access key identifiers, a pair of related credentials: Access Key ID and Secret Access Key. Access Key ID (a 20-character, alphanumeric string). For example:022QF06E7MXBSH9DHM02.
- Secret Access Key. Secret Access Key (a 40-character string). For example: kWcrlUX5JEDGM/LtmEENI/aVmYvHNif5zB+d9+ct. Your Secret Access Key is a secret and shoud be known only by you and AWS.
- Bucket Name. Every object stored in Amazon S3 is contained in a bucket. Buckets are similar to Internet domain names.
Buckets have the following restrictions:
- Bucket names can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, periods(.), underscores(_), and dashes(-).
- Bucket names must start with a number or letter. - Bucket names must be between 3 and 255 characters long.
- Bucket names cannot be in an IP address style(e.g., "192.168.5.4").
Security mode. If checked, synchronization will be started in the secure connections. It will reduce performance but will increase security your data.
