Show Grids on Results

When this option is checked, you'll see a "grid lines" separators on each results window:

If unchecked, you'll see the results with a plain background.

Note: if you have troubles displaying grids, this may be due to a problem with a Lists management DLL on your Windows system

Sort Recent Used Folders on Tray

If you check this option, all Recent Used Folders shown on system tray (Recent From and Recent To), will be sorted by folder's name.

If this option is unchecked, folders will appears as used, unsorted.

Update graphics at end

Check this option if your computer is equipped with a slow graphics card, in order to accelerate scanning process.

Close to System Tray

Check this option to allow Comparator Fast to "close" to System Tray when you click the "close window" button.

This way, Comparator Fast will be always available in background, on system tray.

If this option is unchecked and you click the "close window" button, Comparator Fast will close.

Classic View

Check this option if you want to see scanning results in "Classic" way, or uncheck this to use the new presentation.

You'll notice the Comparator Fast window will change to use the whole window for results.

Filename Hint on Lists

Check this option if you want to see a Hint with filename when using your mouse to scroll a result list vertically.

Animated Cursors

Check this option if you want to use animated cursors.

Use Colors on Results

Enable this option to use default colors on results, disable to use plain black and white.
Set the option more comfortable for your visual.

Hide selection on results

When you select items on any list in Results section, it appears with different color to indicate is selected and ready to be processed. If the list loose focus, the selected items remains with different color if this option is not enabled.

Flat Menus

Check this option to use Flat Menus and Popups.

Gradient Menus

Check this option to use a gradient effect on Menus and Popups.

Please note using gradients turns Menus and Popups more slower.

System Color in Menus

Check this option to use System Colors in Menus and Popups, otherwise default Comparator Fast's colors are used.

Enhanced Menus

Check this option to enable use of Enhanced Menus. If unchecked, simple Menus and Popups will be used.

Enabling this option is required to use Flat Menus, Gradient Menus and System Colors options.

Use Balloon hints

Check this box to enable Balloon enhanced Hints. Uncheck for normal hints.

Show version

Check this option if you want to view Comparator Fast's version at bottom-left of main window.

Uncheck to hide version.

Announce Undo preset

Check this option if you want to continue see a one-time per session reminder about what to do when you change a preset setting.

If the change occurs to an Internal preset ("Default" and "Last Used Settings") the save button allows you to save changes as a new preset.
