All items in one or more Groups of files are checked
At Repeated Files, you are trying to Move or Delete files, but you checked all items (files) in one or more Groups of files, and at least one item per Group should remains intact (because at least one item per Group should be the Original file). If you move all files in a Group to other location, you may get conflicts from moving the original file to other location (but this can be fixed restoring the original file back to original folder). But if you delete all items in a Group of files, it means no original file will be available.
Are you sure to delete folders?
Selected (checked) folders will be deleted. If "Only Delete Empty Folders" option is checked, only empty folders (no matter if non-empty was selected) will be deleted.
If the option "Only Delete Empty Folders" is unchecked (disabled), all folders (empty and non-empty, if any) will be deleted. Files will be deleted to Recycle Bin, if available.
Select Yes to continue, No to abort.
Are you sure you want to delete checked files?
You are about to delete checked items (files). You need to confirm before proceed.
Click Yes button to delete, No to cancel process.
Comparator Fast uses Windows Recycle Bin to delete files. If you don't want to use Recycle Bin, hold the Shift key while you click the Yes button to disable use of Recycle Bin (more faster deletions if not using Recycle Bin). Use with caution. Ensure you'll not need to recover deleted files. Please note Faster mode does not delete Read Only files. If you want to force deletion of files with Read Only attribute, hold the Ctrl+Shift keys when answer Yes to not use Recycle Bin and force deletion of Read Only files (if any).
Destination file exists
Destination file already exists.
Select Yes to overwrite it with source file, or select No to skip this file.
Destination file exists and is newer than source
The source file being recovered is older than already existing target file.
Answer Yes to copy old file on source to target anyway, or no to skip.

Options
- Open Explorer window: check this box to open specified folder in Windows Explorer, usually when the process is finished.
- The Overwrite existing files checkbox determines whether you are prompted before existing files are overwritten with files you marked to process.
- Skip older files: check this option to avoid replace newer files with older files. If you're sure you want to use older files, then uncheck this option. Comparator Fast skips (does not process) existing files when the date/time stamps of the source file (marked to process) is older than the file on specified target location.
- Use folder names: check this option to use source's folders names to proceed. Uncheck to just use the plain filename. This determines whether Comparator Fast will use folder names (also known as path names) from source files (marked for process). You will probably want to check this option for most operations. If this option is checked, any folder names from source files will be appended to the Selected Folder when appropriate. If this option is not checked all files will be processed to the same Selected Folder, regardless of any folder names in the source file.
- For example, assuming the Source Folder for analysis is "c:\My Music", Selected Folder is "c:\target" and the source file you marked "c:\My Music\Top Ten\filename" will be processed to the folder "c:\target\Top Ten" if the Use folder names option is checked, or the folder "c:\target" if the option is not checked.
Select Source/Target folders from Windows Explorer
Use this option to quick and easy selection of currently opened folders in Windows Explorer(s).
If you have opened Windows Explorer browsing folder you want to compare, just choose this option and select folders, no need to Copy and Paste or Context Menu.
You'll see the same list of path you are browsing with one or more Windows Explorer sessions. Check the folder you want to specify as Source, or the folder you want to use as Target; of course you may choose Source and Target.
If you want to choose a single folder for both Source and Target (for example, if you need to check that folder for Repeated Files), just Double-click the folder you want to process. |
