Send SMS Alert

General information

This alert can send SMS (Short Message Service) messages to the remote recipients using mobile phone connected to the computer. The mobile phone should have built-in GSM modem. Also it is possible to use GSM modem as separate device or card, connected to a computer.

Alert Settings

Besides the standard alert settings, the following settings are available:

COM Port - Select from drop-down list or type COM port name of connected device. You can use Check selected COM port button to verify selected COM port connected to the valid modem device. Also, button Refresh COM ports can be used to reread list of COM ports currently available in the OS.
Phone - Phone number of message recepient. This property supports System Environment Variables.
SMS Text - The body of SMS message. You can use message formatting patterns to insert additional information about a particular check into the body of your message. This property supports System Environment Variables.

Note: We advise using a full international format of telephone number. That is, number starting from plus sign followed by international country code, regional phone network code etc.
