FTP Location Check
General information
A File Transfer Protocol Server Check tries to connect to the specified FTP server and to check if the specified FTP path on the FTP server is available using the FTP protocol. The path can point either to a directory or to a file on the FTP server.
Status Conditions
Successful - The FTP location check is considered successful if Network Eagle successfully establishes a connection to the FTP server, logs in and finds the specified FTP URL.
Failed - The FTP location check is considered failed if a TCP connection is NOT established during the specified timeout interval. If the connection to the server is established, but the user login information is invalid or the file/directory is missing on the FTP server.
Check Settings
Besides the standard properties, you should specify the following ones for this check:
- FTP File - The path to the file/directory that should be checked on the server.
- Server requires authentication - Select this check box if the FTP server requires authentication. If this option is not selected, the standard anonymous username/password is used to log in to the FTP server.
- Username - The username for logging in to the FTP server.
- Password - The password for logging in to the FTP server.
- TCP Port - You can specify the TCP port of the FTP server If it is different from the standard one (21).
