Add New Check

General information

The Add New Checks wizard is used to add several checks of one type with the same settings at a time.

Invocation

This wizard can be invoked by using tab Wizards at Network Eagle Bar or by using Wizards menu in the main application menu.

Description

Step 1:

At this step you should select the computers for which you want to create a check and specify the group names. After you start the wizard, in its first window you will see the list of groups corresponding to all found domains and working groups.

If you want to select all computer in a domain, select the necessary group. In case you want to select a part of computers in a domain, select the group corresponding to this domain and click the "Browse..." button, in the new window select the necessary computers and click the "OK" button. This group will be marked as shaded.

It is also possible to load a list of computers from a CSV (comma separated values) file. To load CSV file, click the "Load File" button, select the necessary file in the "Open" window and click "OK". This opens a dialog window with a table of values loaded from the file. By clicking table header, you can activate one or another column. By checking checkboxes for rows, you define values will be selected. Once the necessary values selected, close the window by clicking the "OK" button. A new group will appear in the wizard window with the name of the loaded file. It can be renamed.

Control elements:

  • Select All - check all groups.
  • Clear All - uncheck all groups.
  • Browse - display the dialog window with either the list of all computers in the domain connected with this group or the table from a file if the group is created out of a CSV file.
  • Rename - rename the selected group.
  • Load File - load values from a CSV file. Once you click this button, you will be offered to select a file on the disk and the window with the table of values loaded from this file will be displayed.
  • Remove - remove the group from the list.

Step 2:

At this step you should select the type of checks that will be created and customize the check properties. The check type is selected using the combobox named "Check Type". After you select the necessary check type, click the "Customize check…" button. Customize the check properties in the new window and close it by clicking "OK" button.
