Create New Database
Before you can start to use Ezy Call Manager, you need to create a new Database that stores all your data on disk. Note that if yours is a multi-user installation, you may have the options of installing in a Workgroup or Client Server Model.
Refer to one of the following installation models that is appropriate for you :
- Creating a New Database in a Standalone Environment. In this setup, both the application and the Database will be installed on the same computer and only one user will access the data from the same computer at any one time.
- Creating a New Database for A Multi-User, Workgroup Environment. This is recommended installation for 2 to 3 Users on a stable Network accessing the data concurrently.
- Creating a New Database for a Multi-User, Client/ Server Environment. This is recommended for 4 to 30 users accessing the data concurrently. Or if your 2 to 3 user network is very unstable.
Client Server Login
Note before you can create a database on the Database Server, you need to login to the Server. Hence you must have an Administrator Account on the Server first before you can create a New Database.
A new installation of the server will have an initial User Account to allow you to loggin to the Server :
Username : Admin
Password : DBAdmin
You will need this account the very first time you login to the server. After you have added your own user account to the server, you should delete the Admin account to prevent un-authorized use of the Server. |
