Pack Address Book

To pack the file of the address book of the Alive Address Book program, press Pack address book… in the main menu of the program. The process of packing may take some time. Then a window opens to show the compression percent of the file. Packing of the current file of the address book of the Alive Address Book program considerably reduces the file size (especially if it contains pictures) and, thus, saves the disk space. Also, packing of a file ensures a faster access to the data, that is, increases the operating speed of the Alive Address Book program.

Since packing of an address book file is analogous to defragmentation of the hard disk of the computer, it is recommended to regularly pack the data, especially if you intensively work with files.
