Main Menu

The main menu of the Alive Address Book provides access to basic functions of the program.

File

1. Create new address book - creates a new address book;
2. Open address book - opens an existing file of the address book;
3. Save address book as - saves the current file of the address book under a new name;
4. Create contact - makes a new contact entry in a specified folder;
5. Create folder - creates a new folder;
6. Open - opens the current entry of a contact;
7. Synchronize - synchronizes data of two specified files;
8. Export - exports data of the current file to a specified place;
9. Import - imports data to the current file from a specified source;
10. Preview - previews the printout result;
11. Print - prints out selected entries;
12. Exit - exists the Alive Address Book program.

Edit

• Cut - cuts selected entries to the clipboard;
• Copy - copies selected entries to the clipboard;
• Paste - pastes entries from the clipboard to the current folder;
• Delete - deletes selected entries;
• Select all - selects all entries on the list.

View

1. Display of interface elements - shows/hides interface elements of the main window (toolbar, status bar, find panel, folders);
2. Entries list appearance - sets up display of the entries list;
3. Sorting - sorts the entries list in a specified field;
4. Visible fields - sets visible fields of the entries list;
5. Refresh - refreshes the entries list in the current folder.

Service

1. Pack address book - packs the current file. This procedure decreases the file size and, therefore, the program runs faster and the disk space is saved;
2. Options - advanced settings of the Alive Address Book program;
3. Language - chooses the interface language.

Window

1. This option allows moving to any window of the Alive Address Book program. The current window is marked .

Help

1. This option opens help of the Alive Address Book program, tips of the day . It is also possible to send a letter to the program builders, visit the web site of the program builders, move to the web purchase page of the Alive Address Book program, register the program copy, etc.
