Open
To open an existing icon file, select Open from the [File] pull-down menu. This activates the standard Open dialog box. Then select the file you want to open in the Open dialog box. Opening a file is just like opening a document in Write or a spreadsheet in Excel; the only difference is that you open an icon file instead of a document or spreadsheet. Use the combo box at the top to select the appropriate folder and click on the icon file in the list below. Press the Open button when you have made your selection.
See the section File Type Filters for details on the File Type filters in the Files of type combo box.
Before successfully open a new icon file, if you have already made modification to the current opened icon, it will pop out a message box for reminding you to save the current modifications. On this case, if you choose [Yes], the current modification will overwrite the old file. If you choose [NO], the current modification will be lost. If you choose [Cancel], it will remain the current editing work and it will not continue the open new icon file work.
If successfully opened a new icon, it will load the image of the icon file into the editor window for editing.
You may also press the [Open] button from the toolbar or press the short key [CTRL + O] for opening an existing icon file. |
