Tabs to Spaces

Expands tabs out into the equivalent number of spaces, usually 8. This filter is used to make files easier to process with programs that support differing tab sizes.

Some text editors expect a specific tab size, and save files with the tabs embedded. To import these files successfully into text editors that use a different tab size, you need to use this filter to first convert the tabs to spaces.

This filter may increase the size of a file.
