Start, Close, Open & Exit

After you launch the program you can display the Main window or you can close it and leave GetGo running in the background. You can also choose to exit the program.

Start, Close, and Open

You can choose to open GetGo Download Manager manually or set it to launch automatically when you start your computer. You can also close the Main window and leave the program running so that it can intervene when you initiate a download.

To start the program do one of the following:

• Double-click the GetGo Download Manager icon on your desktop.
• Select Start | Programs | GetGo Software | GetGo Download Manager.

To launch GetGo when you start your computer:

• Select Tools | Options.
  
• In the Options Dialog, select the General page, and select the Launch On Windows Startup check box.
  

To close the Main window and leave GetGo running in the background:

• Click the close button located at the top-right of the Main window.

To open the Main window do one of the following:

• Double-click the GetGo Download Manager icon on your desktop.
• Right-click the GetGo Download Manager icon in the system tray and select Show GetGo.
• Using the Drop window:
  • Right-click the Drop window icon and select Show GetGo.
• From Internet Explorer:
  • Click the GetGo icon in the toolbar
  • From the IE GetGo toolbar, click the GetGo button.
  • Right-click anywhere in a Internet page and select GetGo Download Manager | Open GetGo.

Exiting the Program

When you exit the program, The Main window and the Drop window are no longer available. GetGo will intercede when you download a file and GetGo is available from the Internet Explorer toolbar.

To close the Main window and exit the program do one of the following:

• In the File menu select Exit.
• Right-click the system tray icon and select Exit.
• Right-click the Drop window and select Exit.
