Re-Download
You can re-download completed files if the download file is out of date or it is no longer on your machine.
To re-download a file:
- Select the download job in the Main List pane.
- Do one of the following:
- Right click and select Re-Download.
- Click Tools | Re-Download
- Enter the correct information in the New Download dialog box and select OK.
- Note: If your previous download job was successful and the file exists on your computer, you will be prompted to delete the previous file.
Solutions To Failed Download Attempts
There are situations where you download might fail including the following:
- Server issues including the server is busy
- Incorrect URL path
- Login or authentication issues as set by the proxy server or server
Solutions
When the download has failed it is recommended that you view the Status column in the Main List pane for an error message. You can then choose one of the following:
- If the server is busy you can wait and try the download again at another time using the re-download instrucitons below.
- If the URL path is incorrect you can begin a new download using the New button. You will need to enter the correct URL path. You can also select the previous URL path in the Properties pane and then paste it in the New Download URL path and edit the change.
- If there is login or authentication issues, you can check your Proxy/Firewall settings. Open the Options dialog and select the Proxy/Firewall page. Enter the correct authentication information. If the server authentication is incorrect you can begin a new download using the New button. You will need to enter the correct login information by checking the Use Login Info button and entering the correct username and password.
