Customizing Toolbars
You can choose the toolbars that you want displayed, you can add toolbar buttons to each of the toolbars and you can also create a customized toolbar. You can also rearrange and resize the toolbars. You can also reset the original toolbars so that the command buttons are the same as they first appeared.
To hide or display a toolbar choose one fo the following:
- Click View and select or deselect a toolbar or the status bar.
- Right-click a toolbar and select or deselect a toolbar from the list.
To rearrange the toolbar:
- Click on the double line bar at the left side of the toolbar. Your cursor will turn to a four way arrow. Drag the toolbar to a new position.
To add commands to a toolbar or the menu bar:
- Right-click on the toolbar area and select Customize.
- Select the Commands tab.
- Select a category from the Categories list on the left.
- Click a command from the Commands list on the right and drag it to the desired position.
To reset the toolbar or menu bar to the original commands:
- Right-click on the toolbar area and select Customize.
- Select the Toolbars tab.
- Select an item from the Toolbars list.
- Click the Reset button.
- Note: Reset applies to default toolbars and the menu bar and not to customized toolbars you have created.
Customized Toolbars
You can create customized toolbars that you can name, add command buttons, and delete.
To create a customized toolbar:
- Right-click on the toolbar area and select Customize.
- In the Toolbars tab, click the New button.
- Type a new name for the toolbar.
- Select the Commands tab and add command buttons by selecting a category, clicking a command and dragging it to the toolbar.
To rename or delete a customized toolbar:
- Right-click on the toolbar area and select Customize.
- Do one of the following:
- In the Toolbars tab, click the Rename button, type in the name and click OK.
- In the Toolbars tab, click the Delete and click OK.
