Customizing Panes
You can rearrange the layout of the Main window. This includes detaching and moving a pane to a new position away from the Main window and reattaching or "docking" it again. You can resize and move panes and you can show or hide several of the window panes. Before you make your changes you can choose to save the new layout as your custom layout. You can also reset the layout as it first appeared.
- To move a pane to a new position in the Main window:
Click the title bar of the pane and drag it to the desired position in the window.
- Note: the Main List View can not be moved to a new position but you can resize it by clicking the side and bottom bars and dragging the bar to a new position.
- To move a pane to a new position outside the Main window:
Click the title bar of the pane and drag it to the desired position away from the window.
- To re-dock a pane in the Main window:
Click the title bar of the pane and drag it to the desired position in the Main window.
- To reset the original layout of the Main window:
Click View | Layout and select Reset Layout.
Showing and Hiding Panes
You can hide all the panes of the Main window and display only the Downloads pane and the Main List View. Before you make your changes you can choose to save the new layout as your custom layout. You can also reset the layout as it first appeared.
To hide a pane in the Main window, do one of the folowing:
- Click View | Windows and select a pane in the list.
- Click the Close icon X in the top right corner of the pane.
To display a pane in the Main window:
Click View | Windows and select the desired pane.
To reset the original layout of the Main window:
Click View | Layout and select Reset Layout. |
