Batch/Leech Downloading

Batch Downloading

With the Batch Download you can download more than one file at a time and change the filenames at the same time. Batch downloading is ideal when you know the names of the files and there is a pattern to the filenames (e.g., name01, name02, etc.).

To perform batch downloading:

From the GetGo Download Manager, do one of the following:

1. Click File | Batch Download.
2. Click the arrow next to the New button on the toolbar and select Batch Download.
3. Fill out the required properties in the Batch Download dialog.
4. Click the OK button.

To create a name pattern to match the files on the server:

1. In the Batch Download dialog enter the URL.
2. Add one or more # signs to create a filename pattern.
3. Click a radio button to choose numbers or letters to replace the # sign.
4. Adjust the Start At and End With fields.
5. Optionally, select a Category using the check box drop down and enter a Comment to be applied to all the files.
6. Optionally, you can rename the files by selecting the Rename tab and entering a new name using one or more # signs.
7. After reviewing using the URL and Filename previews, click OK.

Leech Downloading

With the Leech Download you can download more than one file at a time on an entire web site. Leech downloading is ideal for saving time and is an efficient way of getting to all the files on a web page. Leech downloading also enables yo uto filter the file type.

To perform leech downloading:

• From the GetGo Download Manager, do one of the following:
  • Click File | Leech Download.
  • Click the arrow next to the New button on the toolbar and select Leech Download.
• In the Leech Download dialog, fill out the URL.
• Click the Generate List button to populate the field at the bottom of the page.
• Optionally, choose to filter the files that you download using the Filter Results drop down check box.
• Click the OK button.
